A MAN had to fight for his life after he was shot in Morningside on Saturday, January 8.
The spokesperson for EMER-G-MED Paramedics, Kyle Van Reenen, said they were called to assist on the scene in Percey Osborne Road just before 10:00 at night.

“Reports from the scene indicate that the man sustained a single gunshot wound to the head and was in a critical condition,” he said.
According to Van Reenen, the 30-year-old was treated and stabilised on scene before he was taken to a nearby hospital.
”The circumstances surrounding the incident and the events preceding it are unclear, ” he added.
The man is reported to be in a stable condition.
