FROM interviewing couples who have been married for more than 60 years, to highlighting the achievements of pre-scholars, Caxton Local Media Durban does it all.

We cover breaking news and are most proud of the fact that we engage with our communities, which extend the length and breadth of Durban. What’s more, we have been doing this for more 70 years.

Caxton Local Media Durban’s Group Editor, Corrinne Louw, asked, “Now, wouldn’t you like to be part of the team that makes all of this happen? I am on a recruiting blitz and I am wanting to attract people who match our company ethos.”

Louw said, “We are a hard-working bunch and our mission is to inspire and nurture the Caxton human spirit. We do this and still maintain our strong community focus. We strive to make our workplace a positive and friendly one, where honesty, trust, integrity, accountability and responsibility characterise our work ethic.”

She echoed the sentiments of the company’s culture, which was drawn up by all who work at the Highway Mail.

“We are looking for a journalist on the Berea Mail. The perfect candidate would be someone who can adapt to the ever-changing nature of its vibrant community. Our Berea Mail journalist will be required to interview and interact with our Berea community, daily.”

Louw said they also have the same position available at the Highway Mail title.

“The Highway Mail is our flagship newspaper and it’s a community which loves animals, loves nature, hiking and all things community based. We need a journo who is not afraid to explore the beautiful spaces the Highway area has to offer.”

The final position on offer is that of Sub-Editor. “This person will work closely with me and their most important job is to ensure we are literally dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s,” said Louw.
