Don’t miss out on SA/Bangladesh test match at Kingsmead

It has been 25 months since the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium has hosted international men’s cricket.

AS Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium prepares to host its first test match since February 2019, supporters from around KwaZulu-Natal are encouraged to take advantage of an early bird ticket offer for the match against Bangladesh starting on Thursday.

The KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union have given fans the incentive that the first 1 000 people to purchase tickets for the test match will receive their tickets from just R54 as a way of welcoming the fans back into the stadium.

Following the president’s address to the nation recently, 50% of the stadium’s capacity will be accommodated for five days and will include the full fan experience with food courts and SAB bars in full operation.

Not only is it an important test match from a series perspective but the test series will also form part of the ICC World Test Championship and a series victory will go a long way in giving the Proteas the chance of playing in the Championship final.

South Africa currently sits in second place on the overall log behind Australia with three wins and two losses from their five matches so far in the tournament and a win in Durban will go a long way to setting up another important series win.

Following their impressive series win over India at the start of the year and then a drawn campaign in New Zealand, the current ICC World Test Champions, the Proteas test team are in a good space going into this two-match shoot-out.
