Women encouraged to make mental wellness a priority
Women are being given an opportunity to press pause and focus on themselves during a free psychological wellness workshop on August 29.
WOMEN are being encouraged to prioritise their mental well-being and learn practical ways to manage stress by joining a free psychological wellness workshop being held in commemoration of Women’s Month.
The workshop, titled “Empowering Women: Managing Stress, Fostering Self-Introspection and Improved Mental Well-being”, will take place online on Saturday, August 29, from 09:00 to 10:00.
The session aims to create a supportive environment where women can connect, share experiences and develop practical tools to support their mental well-being.
Organisers said women often face the challenge of balancing multiple responsibilities, both at work and at home.

“As women, we often face the daily challenge of wearing multiple caps; within the workplace, we wear the cap of a professional, which brings with it various stressors, however, within the home environment we wear the cap of a partner, a mother, a sister, a daughter-in-law, a caregiver, a nurturer, a problem-solver, a chef, a cleaner, and so much more,” they said.
The workshop will be facilitated by registered industrial psychologists and will focus on helping participants better understand their personal stress triggers and identify areas of their lives that may require attention.
One of the activities will be the Life Wheel Exercise, a structured tool designed to encourage self-introspection and help participants assess their current life balance.
Participants will also be introduced to practical, psychologically grounded techniques for managing everyday stressors, as well as a brief guided mindfulness practice.

Organisers said there was no single approach to wellness that worked for everyone.
“What people often forget is that when it comes to our wellness journey, there is no one size fit all approach. We are allowed to mould it to our specific needs and to fit our specific schedules.”
The organisers encouraged women to take small steps towards prioritising themselves and their well-being.
The complimentary workshop is open to women. To secure a place or make enquiries, contact empoweredwomensclub0908@gmail.com.
