Twenty-three people injured in taxi collision

Several people have been left injured after taxis they were travelling in collided under the Musgrave Bridge in Berea this morning. Paramedics are working to treat the injured.

TWENTY-THREE people sustained various injuries when two taxis they were travelling in collided on the N3 Durban-bound, under the Musgrave Bridge, just after 06:00 on Tuesday morning (April 23), according to Advanced Life Support Paramedics who are currently on the scene.

“ALS Paramedics are currently at the scene of a two-taxi collision, on the N3 Durban-bound, under the Musgrave Bridge. At this stage, multiple people have sustained multiple injuries and are being treated by various paramedics who are trying to clear the area,” said Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics.

The cause of the accident is not known yet, and motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
