Undiscovered talent stand chance to entertain at Ushaka Marine World

Local entertainers and performers stand to be awarded a 12-month contract at Ushaka Marine World which will showcase undiscovered talent.

USHAKA Marine World is calling all aspiring musicians, DJs, and dancers to showcase their talent for a chance to become part of their resident entertainment panel for the 2025/26 financial year. This is a 12-month contract.

“This year’s audition marks the continuation of an annual event at Africa’s largest marine theme park, where undiscovered talent takes centre stage and artists receive the opportunity to launch their professional careers,” explained Gugu Sisilana, eThekwini’s spokesperson.

Pre-registrations opened on September 12 and close on September 30. To register, aspiring performers must complete the online entry form via the official link. Entry is free and open to all artists who qualify.

“Winners will secure a 12-month performance contract at uShaka Marine World, giving them exposure to diverse audiences, while gaining valuable industry experience. This could be your chance to be part of uShaka Marine World’s family and an opportunity to showcase your talents at one of Africa’s top tourism destinations located on Durban’s Golden Mile.

“Performances will be judged by a professional panel of industry experts, with adjudication support proudly funded by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, to ensure fairness and objectivity,” added Sisilana.

Audition categories and dates:
· Bands and solo artists: October 11 and 12
· DJs: October 18 and 19
· Zulu dancers: October 25 and 26
