Four injured after vehicle rolls on N3 towards Durban

Three people were ejected from a vehicle that lost control and rolled near the Brickfield Road offramp, prompting an emergency response and police investigation.

FOUR people had to be rushed to hospital this afternoon (January 18) following a horrific crash near the Brickfield Road offramp on the N3 towards Durban where three people were ejected from the vehicle.

According to ALS Paramedics, the incident occurred after 12:30. ALS spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said they received multiple calls reporting the incident.

He said paramedics established that one vehicle was involved in the accident. “The vehicle had somehow lost control and hit the barrier before rolling down the N3, ejecting three passengers,” said Jamieson.

“All four were stabilised on scene before being transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required.

“At this stage the events leading up to the crash are unknown, however SAPS and Metro Police were in attendance and will be investigating further,” he added.
