A series of Valentine’s-themed events at Glenwood Village will bring neighbours together through crafts, live performances and curated stalls in February.

THE month of love is well and truly upon us and Glenwood Village is already gearing up to help you find the perfect gift and place to celebrate with your loved ones.

Starting on Saturday, February 7, families can join in the fun with a make your own handmade paper Valentine’s card and a curated themed market with a craft workshop and live music. The craft workshop will be hosted by Robin Opperman and Ujala Sewpersad from 09:00.

Patrons will be able to peruse a variety of stalls offering fine art, greeting cards, sweet treats, books and CDs, pre-loved clothing, treasures and collectables, beadwork, belts, soaps and décor items. There will be a pop-up coffee truck serving home-baked goods.

Live music will be provided by Ilza Oosthuizen who will play a range of evergreens, hum along songs and show tunes on her piano alongside the activity area. Glenwood Village’s Steve King said, “Increasingly we understand the need to nurture a sense of neighbourhood in places where we gather. And what better occasion to celebrate our shared community than the season of love!”

The activities will continue the following Saturday, February 14, Valentine’s Day, with live music and complimentary chocolate hearts.

For more information or to book your place for the craft workshop, contact Robin on 083 793 3408. The workshop to learn how to make pop-up 3D Valentine’s cards and envelopes costs R100, which includes all necessary craft materials.
