Road closures: Durban International Marathon

Several roads will be temporarily closed due to tomorrow's Durban International Marathon.

THe Durban International Marathon is taking place on Sunday, May 3, and road users are urged to observe several road closures.

The marathon  will incorporate two races, ie 10km starting at Ushaka Marine World at 06:30, and the 42km starting in Prospecton. Both races finish at the Moses Mabhida Stadium outerfield.

The Durban Metro Poice has confirmed the closures as follows:

Prospecton Road 05:00–06:30

South Coast Road 05:00-07:00

M4 South 05:00–09:00

Margaret Mncadi Avenue 05:00–09:00

Part of Shepstone Street 06:00–0900

Mahatma Gandhi 06:00–10:00

Snell Parade 05:00–11:00

M4 North 07:00–11:00

Athlone Road 06:00-12:00

Masabalala Yengwa Avenue 06:00-12:00

Road users are urged to use alternative routes during the scheduled closures.
