Durban Golf Festival launched at Windsor Golf Club

The Durban Golf Festival promises three days of golf and entertainment, while raising funds for the development of sports in disadvantaged communities.

LAUNCHED on Tuesday at Windsor Golf Club, the Durban Golf Festival promises to be a weekend of fun and competition for golfers and enthusiasts.

Apart from gathering professional golfers and amateurs, the festival aims to raise funds for charitable causes, including development clinics and disabled golf for the previously disadvantaged sports communities.

Mfundo Mngoma of Creative Concepts NPC, together with concept developer JDG Marketers, said the funds raised by the Durban Golf Festival would go a long way in ensuring that the underdeveloped township sport communities receive support.

“The three-day festival would be held in different signature courses around Durban, including Royal Durban Golf Club and Windsor Golf Club. There will be a golf charity cup, a golf challenge, as well as entertainment and golf masterclasses,” Mngoma shared.

He highlighted, “With our township support, we take sports clinics and facilities to the people who need them, without removing them from their locations. Our involvement covers the development of golf, rugby, and soccer.”

The organisers invite families to support the festival from October 2-4. Padel, putt-putt, games, and entertainment will be served on the third day. For more information on the festival, including packages for golfers, contact admin@jdgmarketing.co.za.
