Daughters of Hope launches sanitary pad drive for schoolgirls
The Daughters of Hope Outreach Ministry has launched a month-long sanitary pad drive, urging residents to support underprivileged learners through practical acts of kindness.
THE Daughters of Hope Outreach Ministry at Glenwood Community Church has launched a sanitary pad drive to support underprivileged young women in schools, with the aim of restoring dignity and empowering the next generation.
The ministry is appealing to the community to donate sanitary pads, which will be distributed to girls in need through its outreach programme. Shedding light on the initiative and the ministry, Penny Ragwan said Daughters of Hope is dedicated to supporting young women from all backgrounds.
“Daughters of Hope is the Young Ladies’ Outreach Ministry of Glenwood Community Church, committed to restoring dignity, inspiring hope, and empowering young women,” said Ragwan. “We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of race, colour, creed, or circumstance.”
She said the sanitary pad drive, which started on June 21 and ends on July 31, forms part of the ministry’s broader mission to uplift young women by addressing their practical and personal needs.

“Through initiatives such as our Sanitary Pad Drive, we provide practical support to underprivileged woman in schools, while promoting confidence, education, and personal growth. Our mission is to take a holistic approach by addressing the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of young women, helping them realise their full potential.”
Ragwan added that the initiative has been strengthened through a partnership with Prop4U, which is assisting with the collection of donations.
“We are grateful to have Prop4U partnering with us by collecting sanitary pad donations on our behalf. Together with our supporters and community partners, we are making a meaningful difference, one donation, one life, and one community at a time.”
Ragwan encouraged residents to support the drive and help make a positive impact in the lives of young women. “Together, we are restoring dignity, empowering young women, and building stronger communities.”
