Berea school gives back

Camelot College celebrated their third year supporting Feel Good Funding with a doggy-lunchbox drive.

BEREA-BASED private school Camelot College celebrated their third year supporting Feel Good Funding with a doggy-lunchbox drive. Feel Good Funding is an NPC that raises funds and assists dogs who are in need of help to survive.

With the dog-food collection ending on Friday, December 9, Camelot College raised a total of 110 doggy lunchboxes, with each box containing two sachets of gravy, pellets, a hoof and four biscuits.
The dog-food collection campaign was spearheaded by Camelot College Grade Five teacher Kayla Munro – the learners and teachers came together and made another campaign possible.

“Not only does this initiative teach the learners about kindness and caring, but it reinforces how the gift is always in the giving,” said Munro.

The doggy lunchboxes were distributed by Rennie Meredith, creator of Feel Good Funding, and were handed over to Edupaw, KwaZulu-Natal Valley dogs and Cindy Kennerley’s Clairwood feeding.

“As a school, we are so grateful to all the organisations out there that aim to help and better the lives of animals. We look forward to another year of fundraising in 2023,” said Munro.
