Woman causes chaos during King Shaka’s statue unveiling

The incident took place during the ceremony of King Shaka's statue unveiling at King Shaka International Airport earlier today.

AN unidentified woman almost interrupted the proceedings at the unveiling ceremony of King Shaka’s statue at King Shaka International Airport today, on November 7.

The lady, wearing a white dress, is seen on video footage that has since been circulated on social media, trying to force her way through the police line, demanding to see King Misuzulu kaZwelithini, where President Cyril Ramaphosa and the monarch unveiled the statue of the founder of the Zulu nation.

The unidentified woman is also seen lashing out at two Durban Metro Police officers before being taken away by two male guards in suits.

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda, said the matter is being investigated by the national police.
