WIN tickets to enjoy Women’s Day with Lira and Nomfundo Moh

Enter our competition to win tickets to see Lira and Nomfundo Moh live at Old Mutual Music at the Lake on Women's Day, August 9.

THE Women’s Day edition of Old Mutual Music at the Lake is set to deliver an afternoon of celebration, inspiration and world-class entertainment when Lira and Nomfundo Moh perform live at the Durban Botanic Gardens on Sunday, August 9.

The annual concert coincides with the 70th anniversary of the historic 1956 Women’s March, when more than 20 000 women marched peacefully to the Union Buildings in Pretoria in protest against the extension of the Pass Laws.

This year’s celebration is made even more significant by the return of Lira, whose remarkable recovery after suffering a stroke in 2022 has become a symbol of hope, courage and resilience for South Africans.

Lira will be joined on stage by award-winning singer-songwriter Nomfundo Moh, whose soulful voice and contemporary Afro-pop sound have earned her a place among the country’s brightest musical talents.

Molise Moloi, Mass and Foundation Cluster Marketing Executive at Old Mutual, said the celebration of the resilience of women will showcase the richness of South African music.

“At Old Mutual, we believe music has the power to bring people together while celebrating the values that define us as South Africans,” he said.

He added, “Having Lira, whose journey of resilience has touched so many South Africans, alongside the exceptional Nomfundo Moh, makes this a truly meaningful occasion.”
