SUPERHEROES from all walks of life answered Penzance Primary School’s call to educate young learners about what their roles entail.

From environmentalists to security personnel, a range of community heroes joined the school for its Hero Day, giving learners the opportunity to meet professionals and learn more about the important work they do.

School management hailed the event a huge success, with learners also dressing up as their favourite superheroes for the occasion.

“Our learners had so much fun celebrating, dressing up and embracing their favourite heroes!”

The event was organised by Grade Six educator Catherine Stevens, who said the aim was to give learners an engaging and memorable experience through live, interactive demonstrations on the school field.

She said, “Hero Day is wonderful opportunity for our learners to meet real-life heroes, gain insight into different services and engage with those who make a positive difference in our community.”

Following the successful event, the school also extended its gratitude to Homeland Security for its support and assistance during Hero Day.

“Your dedication, professionalism and commitment helped make the day a great success. We truly appreciate your time and the important role you played in keeping our event safe. Thank you for standing with us and helping make Hero Day special.”
