Library staff are there to serve the public

A former Windermere Library member feels the staff need to learn to serve the public.

EDITOR – I was interested to read all about the facilities offered by the newly moved Windermere Library.

These are all well and good, however two problems need to be addressed. Firstly, the doors should be opened at 10am sharp as they are supposed to be, and secondly, a very strange attitude prevails among some of the staff, almost as though you, the member, are being done a service, instead of the other way around.

Library staff are there to serve the public.

I am no longer a member, thank goodness, but believe you me, I have heard both of these complaints from numerous members.
