EDITOR – It is good to see Metro Police and our ward councillor working together to identify problem areas such as noise, parking issues and illegal parking issues.
My question, however, is did they take the liberty of driving along Teignmouth and Hillier Roads to observe what we as residents have to deal with on a daily basis?
I also wish to report that once again there was a Metro policeman handing out fines to light motor vehicles in and around the Davenport Centre but not one Metro official could be observed doing the same to the illegally parked trucks along the roads as mentioned in this paragraph.
The best of all is that a huge sign for all to see has recently been erected in a small park in Teighmouth Road reading “ Do not litter as this will incur a fine” yet the trucks can spill diesel and trash our street with rubbish and litter and absolutely nothing gets done about it.
