Get your phone directories delivered

A resident offers the number for the distribution company responsible for delivery of telephone directories.

EDITOR – I live on the Berea and invariably get left out when Telkom telephone directories are distributed each October.

This year was no different – after noticing that directories had been delivered in Botanic Gardens Road, I waited expectantly for a fortnight, but nothing came my way. In the past, one could get a directory from all post offices and Telkom branches, but that is no longer the case.

To help others who have also had a problem, I offer the following information: a company called Trudon is responsible for the distribution. You can phone them on 0860 935 569 and enquire which is the closest post office or Telkom branch where you can obtain a directory, or you can ask Trudon to post one to you.

My closest post office was about 12 kms away – it appears that most post offices and Telkom branches declined to have directories delivered to them (the choice was theirs) thus causing considerable inconvenience for Telkom subscribers.
