Accident scene not a pretty sight

A reader said there was another accident at the intersection of Currie and Gladys Mazibuko Roads at the weekend.

EDITOR – At 7.25pm on Sunday night I heard extreme braking, skidding and then a huge bang at the intersection of Currie and Gladys Mazibuko Roads.

People screamed and I heard a child crying.

I didn’t wait to go and look, I first phoned 031 361 0000. I keep this emergency number on my phone and must compliment them, not only on efficiency but absolute understanding of the call, and their politeness. Thank you.

I then went to see if I could assist, as I have a paramedic background, and saw the two cars – not a pretty sight.

It was just the weekend before last that there were three accidents on the Saturday and two on the Sunday, in this very same place, as stated in the Berea Mail.
