Far too many accidents – Gladys Mazibuko and Currie intersection

A reader feels there are far too many accidents at the Gladys Mazibuko and Currie Roads intersection lately.

EDITOR – Another accident makes it far too many at the Gladys Mazibuko and Currie Roads intersection.

Last Sunday night at about 7.25pm I heard extreme braking, skidding and that huge ‘bang’. People screamed, and I heard a child crying.

I didn’t wait to go and look and see, I first phoned 031 361 0000. I keep this number on my phone, and must compliment them not only on efficiency but absolute understanding of the call, and their politeness. Thank you.

I then went to see if I could assist, with my paramedic background, and then saw the two cars… not a pretty sight.

It was just the weekend before last that there were three accidents on the Saturday, and two more on the Sunday in this very same place, as stated in the Berea Mail.
