EDITOR – I don't think I have ever been this angry, ashamed and sad all at the same time.
Yesterday I was shown a video taken by a 'foreigner' in KwaMashu township during the xenophobia attacks. People standing and laughing while a foreigner is being beaten with sticks, next to him lies a dead man, then from nowhere comes another man, he picks up a concrete block and smashes it down onto the head of the man begging for mercy and then runs away. How in God’s name can one human being do this to another?
This all began with the King's utterances. He needs to be made accountable for his incitement to violence. Those stupid words have had a horrific affect on so many lives. All these people wanted was a better life.
To those responsible, I say, shame on you!
