Why have plans changed?

A Durban resident has many questions relating to the building of the new sports precinct.

EDITOR – Whilst sniping online last week, I got to dailymotion. com. There, lo and behold, was an invitation to attend the U19 final for free, yes free!

Of course, I clicked (not that I'd go) and got to a very secret site (I suspect), durbanu19.co. za

Besides screen-shotting pages, I found two pdf's, marked “Strictly Confidential”, “all rights reserved”.

Ya right!

What I find puzzling is: What is the Hoy Park Management (Pty) Ltd connection, being so far from the Stables?

How did Carlos (who uses a gmail account) get to “own” Hoy Park (which is a major source of noise pollution).

Plans were for Hoy Park to be part of a Sporting Precinct extending from the Christmas Tree Stadium (aka Durban Stadium) to Old Fort Road (as per the late Special Projects head, Julie-May).

The plans revealed are only for the area from the stables site, Jacko Jackson Drive, Jacko Jackson Drive and NMR Avenue.

When is the City going to drop the nuke and say it needs a billion more for the entire projection?
