Water Department inefficient

A resident has had an uphill battle with the Water Department after a restrictor was installed.

EDITOR – I have a problem with the Water Department.

On 29 September their staff installed a restrictor on my meter. After they left we noticed that the handle of the tap for turning this water off was missing.

I have phoned numerous times and have been given five reference numbers (one was not correct). Three people have inspected the fault and stated that they would return the next day (which never happened).

I have three SMS’s to say that the fault has been fixed (not true). I also visited their offices in Prior Road on 6 October with no further result.

As the tap is very old the handle is not replaceable. Has anybody any suggestions for getting the Water Department to do the responsible thing?
