Broomhead through to golf final
Jason Broomhead won the A Division of the Glacier Junior Series’ Papwa Sewgolum Tournament recently.
A Two-over-par 74 in windy conditions at Durban Country Club was enough to earn Jason Broomhead a victory in the A division of the Glacier Junior Series’ Papwa Sewgolum tournament recently.
Broomhead used his knowledge of his home course to win the only Glacier Junior Series event in Durban this season by a single stroke, earning him a place in the national final in October.
In the A Division (Handicaps 1-6), first was Broomhead with 74, second was Matt Saulez with 75 (count-out), third was Sebastian Terblanche with 75, best nett was Gregory Gilson with 72.
In B Division (Handicaps 7-18), first Nikhil Gopal with 78, second was Liam Ross with 80 and third was Mathew Mason with 82 and best nett was Sam McKenzie with 71.
In C Division (Handicaps 19-36), first was Kishal Bugareth with 41 points, second was Ethan Govender with 38 points and third was Imraan Moola with 36 points.
