Amashova Criterium is back
Register now for the Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic Criterium event.
CATCH, exciting, fast-paced riding at this year’s annual Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic Critierium event on Saturday, 11 October at 4pm around Suncoast.
The event will see cyclists participating in three categories, Juniors, Elites and Vets.
A criterium is a bike race held on a short course (usually 1km , often run on closed-off city centre streets), and riders complete multiple laps.
In addition to the typical method of determining an overall winner of the entire race, there will also be cash or merchandise prizes for the first rider across the finish line during primes, which are specific laps along the way that are chosen for riders to compete for the win – notified only by the ringing of a bell while the race is in progress.
