KZN development karate colours for Ricardo

Ricardo De Castro achieved gold at a recent karate competition.

SKISA Morningside Dojo students participated in the WKF Karate KwaZulu-Natal (KKZN) developmental tournament held at the Tongaat Indoor Sports Centre recently.

Ricardo De Castro brought top honours to SKISA, wining double gold for Kata and Kumite in the 13 to 14 boys division. Ricardo will now compete in the National Karate Tournament to be held on 30 August 2014. He will attain his KZN development colors for karate and will try his best to be a national champion next week.

Ricardo has been training under head coach, Sensei Brando Pillay at various training sessions held in Redhill, Westville and Tongaat and have put in hard work to attain their Karate developmental colours.
