Support charity golf days
Tee-off and help raise funds for Community Chest, and a man in need of medical help, following diagnosis as a quadriplegic.
GOLFERS are encouraged to support two charity golf days this month.
The Community Chest Community is holding a fundraising golf day on 9 October at Royal Durban Golf Club.
The format will be 4 ball betterball stableford and will start at noon as a shotgun start, followed by hot snacks at prize giving at 6pm. Golfers are invited to join either as a competing player, a sponsor of a hole or a donor of prizes.
Cost for a fourball is R2000 (R500 per player), and sponsorship of a hole is R1 000 or R500 sharing.
The Community Chest is a non-profit organistion committed to professionally and efficiently raising and distributing funds to welfare and development organisations that provide effective and relevant social and welfare services. It currently supports 84 societies.

A local Durban couple is appealing to the public for their support after their 21 year old son, Clinton was injured in a severe car accident earlier this year, leaving Clinton medically diagnosed as a quadriplegic.
Due to the severity of the spinal injury, Clinton spent three months in ICU and has gone onto rehab but he will require continued medical assistance as well as a caregiver.
Clinton requires the use of three different wheelchairs in order to assist him with his day-to-day needs and due to the immense costs involved, there has been a request from the community to organise a fundraising event to allow people to both celebrate Clint’s path thus far and contribute to his continuing journey.
A fundraising golf day has been organised by Clinton’s family and friends at the Durban Country Club on Friday, 10 October.
All 4balls have been sold but they desperately need sponsorship of greens, 4ball prizes and goodie bag items. All sponsors will receive great exposure on the day.
