Calling U15 girl soccer players
The municipality has made a call for female soccer players to be part of U15 municipal team.

ETHEKWINI Municipality has been invited by its Sister City Bremen, Germany, to participate in the 2016 One Nations Cup Football Festival.
The festival scheduled to commence from 30 May until 4 June, will not only serve to strengthen the City’s Sister City relations with Bremen but is a rare opportunity for young females from the city to showcase their football talent on the international stage.
EThekwini Municipality will be conducting selection trials for U15 (born in 2001 or later) female soccer players to be part of Team eThekwini to represent the City in Bremen.
Players attending selection trials should bring their birth certificates with photos. They should also provide their own sports attire for the trials. Registration will be on Saturday 6 February at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium and on Sunday 7 February at King Zwelithini Stadium from 8am to 10am, and thereafter the selection trials will begin.
The One Nation Cup was first played in 2006 in Bremen, Germany, and has been played every two years since then. The aim is to develop intercultural peace building connections between young people all over the world, irrespective of their cultural, religious and language backgrounds.
Since the inception of the tournament, this year will be the first that Team eThekwini will be represented by girls.
