The Championships will promote healthy lifestyles, stimulate economic growth through sport tourism, and foster social cohesion by creating inclusive opportunities for community participation,” said Gugu Sisilana, spokesperson of eThekwini Municipality.
The City has reportedly approved financial support of R390 000 through the Recreation and Parks Directorate to facilitate the hosting of the event.
All post and pre-race activities, as well as the medal ceremony, will take place at DUC. The medal ceremony will take place at DUC on Sunday, October 19, at 15:00.
