THE KZNSA Gallery in Glenwood is proud to host internationally-acclaimed bassist and SAMA award-winning jazz luminary, Herbie Tsoaeli, in concert on Saturday 30 November at 7.30pm
Tsoaeli has developed the reputation of being one of the most accomplished, respected and in-demand bass players – both electric and acoustic – in South Africa. His performances are often referred to as “joyful” and Tsoaeli is known to love improvising and free-styling. He allows the energy of his fellow musicians and the mood of the audience to impact on the texture of each performance.
The line up for the Durban leg of the tour consists of celebrated drummer Kesivan Naidoo on drums, joined by Mthunzi Mvubu on sax, and Mdu Mtshali playing the piano.
