Rasdien takes the mickey out of evolution

Comedian Joey Rasdien is set to wow Durban audiences with his funny take on evolution.

DURBAN comedy fans are in for a treat this month as funnyman Joey Rasdien graces the stage at Suncoast on 31 January and 1 February with his latest offering, the Evolved tour.

Rasdien’s Evolved, is a thought-provoking stand-up comedy show that tackles the touchy subject of evolution and how natural selection has blessed many of the figures that loom over South African life. Hot topics under scrutiny range from the devil and Charles Darwin to Julius Malema and Steven Hawking in a show that promises to leave you in stitches with tears rolling down your face.

Besides his witty comedy making him one of the country’s formidable comedians, Rasdien is also a talented actor with acclaimed roles in Bunny Chow, Dollars and White Pipes and Material. Mike Dowsley, Suncoast Executive Director said, “We are very privileged to host another headline comedian, the Durban audience is no stranger to great laughs and they should expect nothing but the best.”

Rasdien’s last offering was Biltz Patrolie with David Kau and Kagiso Lediga amongst others. He is the face of a new generation of South African comedy. He is instantly recognizable thanks to his roles in many well known South African movies.

Tickets are R100 each and shows begin at 8pm.
