Poignant one-hander for Catalina
The new show at the Catalina tells the story of 'every woman'.
POLART Productions presents A Cookie in the Kitchen, at the Catalina Theatre, Wilson’s Wharf from 24 to 31 March nightly at 7pm.
This is a poignant one-hander, which tells the story of ‘every woman’, written and directed by Vivian Moodley, produced by Pranesh Maharaj and featuring Sivani Chinappan in her debut theatrical role.
A Cookie in the Kitchen is the third production for 2014 from busy Durban independent repertory theatre production company, Polart Productions, which recently staged the super-successful Bhagwan gave me this Life and Late night with Mohammed Rafi.
Sivani is a BA Drama-English-Legal Studies graduate from UKZN, she is currently studying a LLB (UKZN). She is a South Indian classical dancer who graduated in Barathanatyam in 2003 under SA’s Kumari Ambigay and furthered her studies annually in Chennai India.
