The Parlotones are back
Multiplatinum selling band, The Parlotones, will perform at Durban Botanic Gardens.
INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed and multiplatinum selling rock band The Parlotones, will perform at the Old Mutual Music at the Lake concert, Durban Botanic Gardens on Sunday, 8 June at 2.30pm.
The Parlotones, whose experimental style incorporates traditional folk structures with modern rock sounds, are known to regularly champion the cause for sensitivity and care for the environment.
Back from Los Angeles, their return to the Durban Botanic Gardens ensures that funds are raised to assist the garden to carry out its mandate: to maintain and improve biodiversity, to educate the public and to look after an important space for community use.
Supporting act, Durban’s Michael Lowman, will bring his Eric Clapton and Beatles inspired music to the Durban Botanic Gardens. With his gift for storytelling and an underlying rhythmic and melodic sense on the guitar, this young singer/songwriter will bring heat to the gardens.
Tickets are available online at www.webtickets.co.za and cost R150 pre-sold, and R170 on the day.
Children between eight and 12 pay R50 and children under eight enter for free. All children are welcome at the KidZone for some extra fun and games.
Drinks, cooler boxes and picnic baskets are welcome
Gates open at 12.30pm for pre-sold tickets and at 1pm for on-the-day ticket sales.
