Footloose fundraisers
Enjoy Footloose at the Sneddon, while supporting fundraisers for local NGOs.
ROBIN Hood Foundation and Stella Pre-Primary School will hold benefit nights during the run of Footloose at Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre.
On Friday 27 June, Stella Pre-Primary School and After Care Centre will hold a fundraising evening, starting at 6.30pm.
There will be lucky draws at the interval and the school will also launch their new school logo and social media face.
All money raised will go towards the monthly commitments the school needs to meet, and will also go towards replacing the school's ageing vehicles.
Tickets are R100 and can be bought from the Stella Pre-Primary School office, between 7.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, or by phoning Sue on 031 205 6934.
The Robin Hood Foundation ‘Buy-A-Brick’ Footloose fundraiser will be on Saturday, 28 June from 6.30pm.
The ‘Buy-A-Brick’ campaign was re-launched when the Robin Hood Foundation committee visited Uminathi Creche in Zwelibomvu, a rural community in Mariannhill.
The Robin Hood Foundation team found 30 children squeezed into a small room no bigger than 4.5m x 4.5m with only one door and one window.
The Robin Hood Foundation’s project, which will see a 64m2 quality structure erected including hygienic ablution facility, kitchenette and store room facility, will cost R180 000 of which R120 000 has already been secured through the hard work of the Robin Hood Foundation committee and the commitment of their generous sponsors.
The Footloose fundraiser aims to generate an additional R20 000 which leaves a deficit of R40 000 to be raised. Should you wish to contribute, no matter how small, make a deposit into the following account – The Robin Hood Foundation, Nedbank, Account number: 164 816 0948, Branch code: 164 826, Ref: Buy-A-Brick.
