Exhibition on liquid light
An exhibition reflecting on the social and symbolic value of water will be at artSPACE durban.
RESPECTED Durban artist Bernice Stott is hosting a solo exhibition, Liquid Light: Forms Drawn From Water, reflecting on the social and symbolic value of water, which opens at artSPACE durban on Monday 8 September until 27 September.
The work in the exhibition alludes to a re-mythologizing of the mystique of water to counter a laissez-faire contempt for the earth’s water supplies. These works derive their inspiration from water’s unceasing ability to change shape and transform itself. Water is the liquid counterpart of light and seems to be the element out of which everything can be born.
artSPACE durban is at 3 Millar Road and gallery hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday and public holidays from 9am to 2pm.
