Celebrate Africa Day

AFRICA Day will be commemorated on 23 May at People’s Park in Durban, from 9am.

The celebrations include an ambassadors’ breakfast, a street parade, African food tasting, performances and a keynote address by KwaZulu-Natal Premier Senzo Mchunu. Provincial cabinet will also be in attendance.

This year’s theme is We Are Africa: Opening the doors of learning and culture from Cape to Cairo.

Africa Day is celebrated annually on 25 May, which is when the African Union was founded.
