Double date with Crystal Tryon-Singh
Durban performer, Crystal Tryon-Singh will perform in two shows at the Catalina Theatre next week.
ONE of the city’s favourite musical theatre performers, Crystal Tyron-Singh, returns to the Catalina Theatre in Wilsons’s Wharf in two very different shows, Heel Hair Rious, on Monday 15 June at 8pm, and an inspiring Youth Day event at 2pm on Tuesday, 16 June.
Crystal returns home after spending the past few years in Cape Town. She will be remembered for her roles in Blues Brothers, Mercury Rising and A Coloured Place which won numerous awards. In her new production, Heel Hair Rious, she introduces us to a range of fun new characters: Diva Divine from the All Nations Hair Salon, Lady Favour the Jazz song bird and the late night live talk show presenter Root D, among others. This is the first showing of Heel Hair Rious to Durban audiences, after having rave reviews in the Western Cape.
The youth day programme, which will empower young people, is entitled: I Make a Difference. The event forms part of the CAI (Christian Arts Initiative) Outreach from 2pm until 4pm.
