Students sing for 67 blankets

UKZN students will sing for the 67 Blankets campaign at the UKZN school of arts.

An evening of Opera, Pop music, Jazz and much more awaits music enthusiasts as students prepare to Sing for 67 Blankets.

The UKZN School of Arts will present the show next Tuesday, 13 October at 6pm. The show will feature the talented vocalists from The School of Arts, all of whom have played a part in acquiring woolknitting needles, while others have taken it upon themselves to knit pieces or complete blankets for the campaign. The blankets will be presented to the charity reps during the concert.

This is not the first time the UKZN students were involved in a charitable event, A few months back, blankets that were made by the students of UKZN were displayed at the Union buildings in Pretoria on Nelson Mandela day. Thereafter, the blankets were distributed to various charities across the country.

A donation box will be available at the doors of the show for donations of wool/money to buy needles or wool.Tickets cost R50/R30 (pensioners) and R15 (students) and doors open at 5.30pm.
