Don’t miss this culinary taste experience

A season of four delicious innovative pop-up culinary, sensory and educational events will be at 8 Morrison Street, Durban.

THE EasyEating Taste Experience, a season of four delicious innovative pop-up culinary, sensory and educational events, will be at 8 Morrison Street, Durban, from 30 October to 20 November, culminating in a food conference on 5 December.

The series kicks off on 30 October with Durban local, David Bartlett from Eat Your Home. David will share his company vision and his passion for quality, locally-grown fresh produce and products with guests, who will enjoy a sumptuous dinner created by Chef Brett Gentles of Parc Cafe. He will make use of produce all sourced or inspired by Eat Your Home.

On 6 November master tea blender and coffee roaster extraordinaire, Zamindlela Mkhwanazi, will be examining methods of creating the perfect cup of tea. Learn to be a master tea blender at this event. Guests will be given the opportunity to create their own tea blends from scratch. Learn from the best so you can enjoy the perfect cuppa anytime, anywhere. An extravagant meal will be served and all food and beverage on the night will be tea or coffee-inspired.

Another Durbanite, Nazira Moosa, will entertain and educate guests on 13 November with her own independently produced cooking show, Zira Cooks. Zira was once a member of the corporate world, but her passion for cooking and entertaining took over. She decided to leave the corporate world behind, and follow her dreams full time.

On 20 November, Pietermaritzburg locals Mo Gravity, Easy Eating and Visual Foc will be showing off their collaborative craft beer brand The Dawg Series. Guests will discover how the dynamic three way partnership came to be, what the future holds for The Dawg, and perhaps even one or two trade secrets. Over the course of the evening, the super skilled beer crafters will be cooking a three course dinner using The Dawg craft beer.

On 5 December, there will be a 10-course luncheon showcasing the culinary expertise of the guest speakers from the four previous events. Masters of food and drink will collaborate to create culinary synergy like never before. Business owners will discuss how they plan to create synergy in business as well as food. Think of good food and wine pairings, and imagine the same concept on a business level. This is the event that will bring the whole experience together, so don’t miss out.
