Christmas Kerels for Tina’s Hotel

The Gee Jays present their Christmas show, Let There Be Love, a musical comedy, at Tina's Hotel this weekend.

AS Christmas draws closer and the need to celebrate becomes more apparent, it’s time to re-kindle the spirit of love and romance at this festive time of year.

To get into the Christmas spirit, The Gee Jays have compiled a lighthearted look at all things “love and festive” for their show at Tina's Hotel on Friday 11 and Sunday 13 December.

Let There Be Love is a musical comedy compilation of love songs from all eras and genres knitted together with comical banter and festive frivolity. It’s designed to help you wind down from a busy year and get into the festive spirit.

Expect to hear songs like Hello Young Lovers, Can’t Help Falling In Love, Love Potion No 9, Love Grows, Let Your Love Flow, To Love Somebody, That’s Amore, Love Is In The Air, Let Your Love Flow, Love Is All Around, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and of course – a couple of Christmas ditties thrown in for good measure.

The Gee Jays celebrated their 30th year together this year, and still appear to be as popular as ever. Expect to see the usual merriment, mirth and eye twinkling.

The show is for three performances only. There will be two (lunch and supper) on Friday 11 December and one on Sunday 13 December. The show is presented in “supper theatre” format. Friday and Sunday, lunch (carvery lunch) is from 12.30pm with the show starting at 2pm. Friday evening will be buffet supper, served from 7pm and the show starts at 8.30pm.

Tickets are R195 for the meal and show and a show only option is available at R120. Bookings can be made on 031 764 7843.
