Jazz bassist at UKZN
Bassist Trevor Donjeany will perform at UKZN's Centre for Jazz and Popular Music next week.
THE Centre for Jazz and Popular Music presents bassist Trevor Donjeany on Wednesday, 17 February at 6pm.
Trevor Donjeany was born and educated in Durban and began playing professionally in 1980. Over the years, Trevor has gained a fearsome reputation and is respected as a world-class bassist. He is in great demand as a player, and has played on international platforms.
Donjeany has performed with most of the local jazz and pop artists in South Africa and has been involved in numerous studio and television music programs. Donjeany has been bassist with icon, Johhny Clegg, for the past eight years and tours the world extensively, as well as performing locally with him and the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra.
Join Trevor Donjeany on bass, featuring Leon Sharnick (sax), Donovan Jacob (drums) and Burton Naidoo (keys) at The Centre for Jazz and Popular music (CJPM), level 2, Shepstone Building at UKZN Howard College campus.
