Israeli pianist for Durban
Internationally acclaimed concert pianist to perform at UKZN.
CONCERT pianist, Aviram Reichert, internationally-acclaimed for his deeply intelligent interpretations, phenomenal technique and ravishing tone, will perform in Durban at Howard College, UKZN, on Friday, 19 February at 7.30pm.
Reichert studied at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv with Professor Arie Vardi, and after winning major competitions in the Far East, France and Germany, was awarded the Bronze Medal at the 10th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 1997.
Today he is a frequent soloist with the leading orchestras in his native country, Israel, and has performed with orchestras in the US and around the world. He is currently Associate Professor of Piano at the Seoul National University College of Music in Korea.
