Celebrate reggae style at the 2016 Bob Marley Earth Day festival at Wahooz!
WITH February being the month of love and host to a “leap day”, uShaka Marine World isgetting into the groove with the 9th annual Bob Marley Tribute Festival and Rasta Fair at Wahooz on the Promenade, uShaka Marine World on Sunday, 28 February from 10am to 6pm.
Headlining this year’s festival are The Meditators, a six-piece reggae band based in Durban, which was founded by Shante Bekwa in 1991, the band leader, lead guitarist, lead vocalist and composer of his own original music. He is joined by Dan Msomi on rhythm guitar, who also sings and composes music and Bunny Nathi Mkhize on drums, Sfiso Mpanza on keyboard and backing vocals, Barret Hlela on bass guitar and Alberto Chemane on persussion.
Apart from the musical entertainment and chilled out vibes, festival goers can also catch the Rasta Fair which is expected to be a popular aspect of this event with traders selling homemade and handcrafted artworks, clothes, sacred books, and more.
