Durban vocalist entertains with world music
Durban vocalist Lu Dlamini will perform at the Centre for Jazz and Popular Music next week.
THE Centre for Jazz and Popular Music presents Durban vocalist Lu Dlamini on Wednesday 16 March at 6pm.
This gig is a prelude to Lu Dlamini’s 11 Track debut album Ulimi lami due for release in 2016. Lu will perform songs from the album which she describes “world music”. The album Ulimi lami consists of compositions in Isinguni, Portuguese and English by the Songbird.
Lu Dlamini will be joined by Barney Bophela (piano), Mazwakhe Gumede (bass) and Mzamo Zungu (drums) at The Centre for Jazz and Popular music (CJPM), Level 2, Shepstone Building at UKZN Howard College Campus. Doors open at 5.30pm and the show starts at 6pm.
