Top artists for Friends recital
Pianist Christopher Duigan and saxophonist David Salleras from Spain will perform at the next Friends of Music recital.
SA pianist Christopher Duigan and saxophonist David Salleras from Spain will perform at the next Friends of Music recital on 15 March at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road, Durban at 7.30pm.
Christopher is a Steinway artist and a leading South African concert pianist. He has performed extensively with all leading South African Orchestras. David is regarded as one of the world’s leading contemporary classical saxophone players, and has attracted international attention through his fluency in a variety of musical styles.
Their programme includes works by Iturralde, Morricone, Duigan, Salleras, Mattia and Piazzola.
Prelude performer is 13-year-old singer, Lasandra Majola. Lasandra is in her first year at high school and her music career has seen her perform on many different stages in front of small and big audiences.She won the Gateway to Fame Competion in the junior caterory.
