Feast of Irish at Rhumbelow

Dave Monks will present a post-St Patrick's Day party celebration at Rhumbelow Theatre on Sunday.

RHUMBELOW Theatre in Umbilo presents Dave Monks in A Feast of Irish, at a post-St Patrick's Day Sunday Soiree Season party on Sunday 27 March at 2pm and 6.30pm.

Dave, South Africa’s very own Irish multi-instrumentalist, presents an evening of time-warp, transporting you to the towns, rivers and valleys of Ireland.

His proven repertoire of esteemed Irish classics mixed with a touch of Blarney in his treasury of tales and humour, are always sure to get your hands clapping.

An Irish show wouldn’t be complete without the good ‘ol faithful like Danny Boy, Galway Bay, Whiskey in the jar, Paddy Mc Ginty’s goat to name a few but A Feast of Irish will also introduce you to a whole new generation of Irish favourites.

The folkish feel of this music is enhanced by Dave’s mastery of the banjo, guitar, harmonica, tin whistles and vocals.

Take picnic baskets. The venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner.

Remember to wear something green.
