Durban singers perform at Distillery031
Two local singer-songwriters will perform at Distillery031 on 7 April.
TWO of Durban’s singer-songwriters, Dani and Mbijana Sibisi, will perform at The Still Sessions on Thursday 7 April at Distillery031, 1st Floor The Foundry, 43 Station Drive at 6.30pm.
Mbijana Sibisi is a singer-songwriter, poet and guitarist. The music that he writes is influenced by the colors of life, both dark and lighter shaded. In his songs you will find stories of hardship as well beautiful stories of love. In his lyrics he approaches society with a critical eye. His lyrics are composed in English and isiZulu languages.
Durban-bred artist, Dani, has been a singer and a songwriter from her earliest years. She completed her first 50 fully formed songs by age 15 and began working on her debut album, Open Spaces at age 17. The album was first published in late 2011 and has been recently re- mastered in Nashville for iTunes.
