Siberian Trio for recital
Fans of classical music are invited to the next Friends of Music recital in Durban.
THE Siberian Trio will perform at the next Friends of Music recital on 19 April at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road, Durban at 7.30pm.
The trio is cellist Boris Kerimov, violinist Elena Kerimova and pianist Liezl-Maret Jacobs.
The Kerimovs are members of KZNPO and are both from Russia. For this performance they collaborate with Liezl Maret Jacobs, one of South Africa’s leading pianists.
Their programme includes works by Schumann, Brahms and Beethoven.
Prelude performer is 14-year-old singer Sornia Kanfer, accompanied by Ziggy van Rooyen.
Tickets are R80 for members, R100 for visitors and R20 for orchestral members and students.
