Moms and daughters in “Dance Some More” show
Berea moms and daughters will be performing in the Dance Some More” show at the iZulu Theatre, Sibaya.
BEREA bellydancers Lucille Kambarran, Farah Yassin, Karen Aaron and Caomh Jankey, have more than just their beautiful dancing in common.
They also happen to share mother-daughter bonds. Moms, Lucille and Karen started belly dancing at Maya Dance Company in 2006, and their five year old daughters Farah and Caomh joined in a year later.
Ten years later, and with dance CVs between them that include winning many competitions, dancing in Egypt, performing in shows all over South Africa, teaching and choreographing these moms and their now teenage daughters are still the best of friends and still belly dancing together.
The four will perform in the “Dance Some More” show at the iZulu Theatre, Sibaya on 21 May, alongside 92 line, belly, Latin and ballroom dancers from Floorcraft Dance Studio and Maya Dance Company.
They will be dancing in the advanced belly dance numbers and also in the line dance group.
Profits from the show will be donated to HOLAH baby home, and tickets are R100 through Computicket.
