DON'T miss the next Friends of Music recital on Tuesday, 14 June at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road, Durban at 7.30pm.
Performing on the night will be violinist Rachel Lee Priday, who has been acclaimed for her beauty of tone, riveting stage presence and “irresistible panache” by the Chicago Tribune. She has performed as soloist with major international orchestras and has played all over the world, highly recommended by artists with whom she performs often in New York.
Pianist, Bryan Wallick, is gaining recognition as one of the great American virtuoso pianists of his generation. He is a gold medalist of the 1997 Vladimir Horowitz International Piano Competition in Kiev. He has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and South Africa. He also made his New York recital debut in 1998 at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall and made his Wigmore Hall recital debut in London in 2003.
Their programme will include works by Brahms and Beethoven.
